Would you like a cup of tea?

From Alice in Wonderland,

Mad Hatter: Do you care for tea?
Alice: Why, yes. I'm very fond of tea.
March Hare: If you don't care for tea, you can at least make polite conversation.

After a long day of class (class only lasted an hour an a half though it seemed much longer) and a nice nap, some of us decided to go out for high tea. Our friend Katy new of a place that was near South Ken so about 8 of us headed out for tea. Elo, Jane and I were walking rather quickly and turned around to discover that no one else was behind us. We then saw Brenden running down the street to catch up with us. Apparently he had gone back inside to get a coat because it was starting to rain a little bit. We assumed that the others went back to the house as well to grab their umbrellas. After waiting about 10 minutes we figured that they must have taken the underground tunnel to get to the tube. We walked to the tube station, figuring we would meet the others there as well...no such luck. They were not at the tube station either and we didn't know how to get to the place that we were going. So we decided to go to Harrod's and have high tea there.

We went to a place called Laduree (it is obviously French) It is known for being the inventor of double decker macaroon. I discovered it while I was in London after my senior year of high school. We sat in a swanky little room where the walls are covered in black cushions and chandeliers hang from the ceiling. We each got a three-tier platter that consisted of two finger sandwiches, two croissants and two dessert pastries. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS.
All of the pastries looked like the ones in the movie Marie Antoinette.
